To see all the Props available for all Environs/Angles, just head to the Prop Store from the Main Menu.
You’ll be able to search for and filter the Props by certain parameters, including:
- Filter By Environ
- Filter By Category
- Filter By Price
- Filter By Type, such as Add-On Props and Bonus Props
PROP SINGLE PAGES
A Prop’s main page contains the following elements:
Image – As with the Props listing template, the image will be a greyed-out, low opacity version when the Prop is locked, but will show in full color when unlocked.
Title – The name of the Prop.
Description – A short description of the Prop.
Categories – Each prop will fit into one or more Categories such as ‘Bedding’ or ‘Furniture.’ Click the name of any Category to see a listing of Props related only to that Category.
Owners – As with the Cards, this will show the number of Fans who own the Prop. Clicking the underlined section will open a modal listing the Fans.
Environ Compatibility – This will list any Environs the Prop can be used in. Note that some Props are compatible with more than 1 Environ if the same Prop is viewable from multiple angles.
BUYING PROPS
To Buy a Prop, simply click the Buy Now button (if it appears – more on that below). A modal will pop up asking you to confirm your purchase and letting you know your remaining balance after the sale.
* Props are bought with variations of ‘Power Orbs’, an on-site currency that is awarded along with random Cards when opening Card Packs.
Once bought, the page will refresh and the image will show in full color. A message below the image will also confirm you now own the Prop. And just in case it wasn’t obvious enough, as with Cards, a live pop-up notification will also confirm it!
You can click any of the Environs listed in the Compatible Environs box to see your Prop in its place:
Note that the Bed is now in color in the Props carousel below the main Environ area and the progress counts/progress bar have been updated.
PROP TYPES
Some Props cannot be bought right away (or at all) depending on different conditions. this includes:
Add-On Props – These Props require another item to be owned before the Buy button will appear to buy them. This is usually an item that is on top of another – for example, the comforter on Max’s bed or any items in display units. The reason for this is that Environs are all image-based and built up in layers in fixed positions. If you were able to buy the bed comforter before you could buy the actual bed, the comforter would be floating in mid-air! Spooky.
As you can see in the image above, on any page for a Prop that is an Add-On prop, the Prop/s that must be owned first are listed in a container below the Compatible Environs section. Once again, if you don’t own the required Prop, the Prop’s image will be in greyed-out low opacity. However, if you do own the required Prop, the image will be in full color and text saying ‘(Owned)’ will appear next to the name of the Prop. Only once all the required Props are owned will the Buy button appear.
Bonus Props – Bonus Props are Props that are exclusive to Patreon subscribers. These Props will not be required to ‘complete’ the Environs and so will not count towards the completion percentage. They will also be Props that don’t necessarily appear in the environment in the game itself but do make sense there. For example, the first 2 Bonus Props available for the Max’s Room Environ include:
- A framed photo of Max and Chloe dressed as pirates when they were younger. This photo is normally in a drawer on the chest of drawers in the game and is unframed.
- Max’s yellow Polaroid camera. This iconic camera is not normally seen in the room as Max takes it from her bag in the game. In the Environ, it’s placed on top of one of the display units. You’ll unlock Bonus Props in exactly the same way as other props.
Although the Buy Now button will be visible to everyone if they meet any related Add-On requirements, when the modal opens, the option to actually buy the Prop only appears for Fans with the Superfan, Superfan Plus or Superfan Ultimate roles. Standard Fans will be encouraged to join the Patreon with a button link if they want to own this Props as well.
